We are not a country of cowards

Today there are large numbers of people frozen in fear as their lives crumble around them. They justify their anxiety by saying, “The government said to be safe, I should stay home.”

Well, there is a problem with that advice. You will not have a home to stay in if you continue to listen to them.

Yes, there are dangers out there, but there is a larger danger waiting for you if you don’t regain control over your life. You have to accept certain levels of risk, or you will die. Think about it, if people were not out there taking risk, those hiding in fear would not be able to stay home in the first place.

Can you imagine where we would be today if our ancestors hid from every fear they faced? It was their bravery that made this country great. It is ours that will keep it great, and our kids who will continue to move on in the face of fear. We are not a country of cowards. At least I hope not, but I will admit, sometimes it looks that way.

Sheep in prepper clothing

In my last post, I wrote about wolfs in prepper clothing. So, today I thought I would write about sheep in prepper clothing.

Now you may be wondering how it is possible to be a sheep and a prepper at the same time, but I can assure you it is. But before I get started, I want you to know that I am not talking about preppers who are still working to build up their supplies. I am talking about the ones who claim to be fully prepared to live in a grid-down society but are not.

I will give you an example. Recently I asked a prepper, who claims to be prepared, why they thought others should have to work in order to serve them while they stay at home during the coronavirus outbreak. Their answer stunned me. They said the essential workers had to work so that they could get the things they needed.

“What?” I said, eyebrows raised.

I went on to say that it was not the grocery store workers’ job to take care of them, and you could imagine their response. It was the same one every one gives. “Well, this virus is different.”

Well, it is not. A disaster is a disaster, and they all have the potential to take away the essential support we have come accustom to. And regardless of what the media tells you. This disaster is nothing as a whole, compared to the ones we have had in the past and the ones we may see in the future. So, if your plan is “I’m prepared to take care of myself as long as I have essential workers’ serve me.” You might want to get a new plan because those workers will disappear if the disaster threatens them at a risk level they are not willing to take.

Wolfs In Prepper Clothing

For years I have watched survivalist and prepper sites tell people that panicking is the worst thing you can do during a disaster. And yet some of these same sites are spewing panic to make money off of you.

Watch out for wolfs in prepper clothing.

There are a lot of good sites out there, but some could care less about your well being. You don’t have to go broke, getting prepared. And you don’t need to take an online class. All the information you need is available for free on the Internet. Use your common sense when viewing any information, including mine, and you will be fine. Preparedness is not complicated. Start with water, shelter, and food. Then branch out from there with medical kits, weapons, and all the other things people like to have. Get the things you need for your family to survive daily life, and you will be fine.

Your number one prep is your knowledge. Learn different skills as you can, don’t stress out, and above all do not panic.

Six types of people commenting on the Novel Coronavirus

The Wes – These are the people who know what’s best for you. Because you know, you’re too stupid to think for yourself.
We don’t want you to panic.
We have everything under control.

The “Jokers” – Ah yes, the jokers, those friendly people holding the Carona beer and laughing. Thanks, guys, that should lift the spirits of the sick and dying.

The “Experts
It’s right there on the Lysol can ‘coronavirus’. I told you it was not new. They’ve known about it for years.

The “Parents” – Yep, you are a sloppy bastard and need their guidance.
Now, you make sure to wash your hands and cover your mouth.

The “Doomers
I told you sumbitches, now get out of my bunker before I put this corona bullet in your ass.

And finally, the “Enforcers” – These people say things like, “Leave them in China, it’s too dangerous to bring them back.” Unless, of course, it’s one of their family members.

I guess I’m a joker for writing this, but it had to be said.

China’s cities have become barnyards; its citizens’ farm animals

One only needs to look at China to see a dystopian world. Its cities have become barnyards, its citizens’ farm animals, and its elites farmers and ranchers.

A good example is Wuhan, where people are being treated like farm animals due to the coronavirus. They have been herded into their corals for the good of the ranch, and just like farm animals, they will be culled (left to die) if it gets out of hand. Their loss deemed acceptable by all those not affected.

I would suggest a better way.

The citizens of Wuhan should have been given immediate support and factual information. They should have been included in a plan that would save them and their fellow citizens throughout the country.

Each citizen should have been given protective gear and asked to stay home. If they did not have a phone, they should have been given one, so they could keep in touch with family and friends.

Then, food deliveries should have been made to each home, and medical checks by nurses, if requested, should have also been available. This would have emptied hospitals and stores, making everyone safer.

Their rent and mortgage bills should have also be suspended for the duration of the event along with other bills. This would make staying home feasible and encourage them to stay there. People treated in this way would have felt patriotic and safe at home instead of on the run, scared of their government and fellow citizens.

In return, other cities and countries could ban or quarantine them for a set number of days before entering if they choose, but no one should be prohibited from leaving any citied in which they feel threatened.

What do you think? I would love to get feedback on this topic.

Two more cases of coronavirus in U.S.

Two more cases of the new coronavirus have been diagnosed in the U.S., bringing the national total to four. The new cases are both in California — one each in Los Angeles County and Orange County — in addition to one case in Washington state and another in Chicago.

More cases are likely to be identified in the coming days, including more cases in the United States. Given what has occurred previously with MERS and SARS, it’s likely that person-to-person spread will continue to occur.

Coronavirus in the United States

The coronavirus has infected a second person in the United States. The Chicago woman returned January 13th from Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak, and began experiencing symptoms a few days later.

China is working to contain the outbreak, but some people have managed to slip through their checkpoints by cooling their foreheads before a temperature check.

While this was not the case with the Chicago women, a Chinese woman had bragged about doing this.

Infections have been confirmed in South Korea, Japan, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Taiwan and the United States.

If you own stock in face mask, you might be in the money if the virus continues to spread.

Let’s hope this is not the case.

Coronaviruses are a group of viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds that include diarrhea in cows and pigs, and upper respiratory disease in chickens. In humans, the virus causes respiratory infections, which are often mild, but in rare cases, are potentially lethal. There are no vaccines or antiviral drugs that are approved for prevention or treatment.
