Today’s word was yet, and I wrote a story about the endless nights of bar hopping.
My lips press against hers, yet I feel nothing.
The lights come on. It’s closing time.
My lips press against hers, #yet I feel nothing.
The lights come on. It’s closing time.
My lips press against hers, and I feel love.
Please, God, let her feel the same way.
I wear old age with pride. Every wrinkle a sign of strength as I march forward into another year.

Kendra Gaylord made an interesting video about our disappearing Diners.
And I believe the big interstate chains we find at every exit are drawing us away from our town centers and the smaller ones I find more appealing.
The wildlife crossings discussed in this video are long overdue for the country as a whole. They save wild and human lives every year.
Corporate pythons constrict, squeezing the lifeblood out of our small towns.
“The horses name is tolerance.”
“I think it was Trojan.”
“Trust me, it’s tolerance.”

An old man asked his young neighbor. “Would you mind if I opened your mailbox and read your mail?”
“What kind of question is that? Of course I would mind.”
“Would you mind if I peered through your window every once in awhile to see what you are doing?”
“Are you insane?”
“Would you mind if I listened in on your private conversations?”
“Would you mind if I followed you around to see where you go and what stores you buy from?
“Would you mind if I kept a copy of your finger prints?”
“That’s enough old man. You need to go back home.”
As the old man left he looked back at the young man and said. “If my questions upset you, I apologize. But for the life of me I can not figure out why you would be upset with your neighbor doing these things while at the same time allowing it to happen online by strangers, the government, your employer and so on.”
The young man stood silent as the old man disappeared through the hedge.
The video below discusses the world’s finite energy resources, and I found it very interesting.
Everyone wants to find a solution, but in the end, self sufficient families and communities will be the answer, aka small towns in which people have enough land to grow their own food with enough left over to trade with tradesmen who can furnish things they are unable to provide for themselves.
Local will be the way to go, in my opinion, should cheap energy disappear.
