In the old days, they were simple cast-lead balls.

Today the bullet’s nose has six shapes

Number 1 – The round nose

Number 2 – The semi-round nose

Number 3 – The flat nose

Number 4 – The wadcutter

Number 5 – The semi-wadcutter

Note – Wadcutters are special-purpose flat-fronted bullets specifically designed for target shooting, and plinking.

Number 6 – The pointed or spitzer-tangent ogive

Note – In ballistics or aerodynamics, an ogive is a pointed, curved surface mainly used to form the approximately streamlined nose of a bullet or other projectile, reducing air resistance or the drag of air. In fact, the French word ogive can be translated as “nose cone” or “warhead.”

Its base has five shapes

Number 1 – The flat-base bullets are the most common type, as well as the easiest to manufacture. This base is found on many hunting rifle bullets and most handgun bullets.

Number 2 – The hemispherical base is rarely seen in the United States.

Number 3 – The boattail-rebated base is a popular choice for target shooting and hunting at long ranges, The rebated design is not as efficient as the standard boattail, but easier to manufacture.

Number four – The boattail-standard base is by far the most popular low-drag design.

Number 5 – The hollow or recessed base is often found on handgun bullets where an effort has been made to maximize bearing surface sealing. This type of base is seldom used in modern rifle bullets.

And there are ten common types of bullets

Number 1 – The full-metal-jacket (FMJ) is a common type of military design that encases the projectile (Bullet) in a hard metal exterior. The jacket allows for higher muzzle velocities over bare lead without depositing significant amounts of metal inside the barrel.

Number 2 – The hollow-point design is standard on many handgun bullets and lightweight, small-caliber rifle bullets. They have a hollowed-out center causing the bullet to deform on impact causing significant damage.

Number 3 – The soft-point bullet is the favorite for nearly all types of hunting. It is sometimes called a “partially jacketed bullet.” Unlike a full metal jacket that completely encases the bullet in a coating of metal alloy, the soft point leaves a portion exposed.

Number 4 – The hollow soft-point combines the best of hollow and soft-point designs in a revolver bullet.

Number 5 – The capped bullet design has a soft metal cap over a soft point that collapses on impact, aiding expansion.

Number 6 – The tipped expanding bullet features a metal or plastic tip on the ogive that is designed to prevent tip deformation in the magazine, enhance the ballistic coefficient, and assist expansion on impact.

Number 7 – The frangible bullets are usually lead-free bullets made of composite materials that are designed to break up into small particles on impact with a hard surface.

Number 8 – The bonded bullets are a favorite with big-game hunters. Bonding the core to the jacket ensures the controlled-expansion performance desirable for killing animals like elk, moose, and bear.

Number 9 – The solid bullets may be either monolithic (made of one piece of homogeneous metal) or heavily jacketed with a lead core. Also, some hybrid types combine a monolithic body with a heavy metal insert. The purpose of a solid is to penetrate dangerous game reliably.

Number 10 – The hybrid bullets combine two or more of the above characteristics.

The cartridge is made up of four components, a metal bullet (projectile) that sits on top, the case which is usually made of nickel, brass or steel, and the primer that ignites the gunpowder.

The metal bullet’s weight is measured in grains. The weight affects the way it flies and how it performs when it hits a target. A heavier bullet travels slower but hits with more momentum, while a lighter bullet has a flatter trajectory and greater velocity.

The cartridge, commonly called “the bullet” comes in many sizes

The .22 is the most common caliber regarding units sold. The average weight of this bullet is roughly 20-40 grains. These bullets are only a few steps up from a pellet gun round. As a firefighter, I can tell you I went to a call one night in which a man was shot in the forehead with a .22, and the bullet lodged just under the skin but did not penetrate his skull. He was sitting up talking when we arrived. A hard head, distance, weak bullet, or a combination of them all, saved his life.

The .25 ACP  is slightly larger than the .22 LR and slightly more powerful.

The .380 ACP, sometimes called a “9mm short” is a low power round that works best at close range.

The 9mm is used by the majority of police forces around the world. Its weight varies between 115-147 grains and has very low recoil. For most shooters, this is the go-to round.

The .40 S&W is stronger and more powerful than the 9MM, and a little bit heavier.

The 10mm has incredible stopping power with a harsh recoil.

The .45 ACP has a lot of power behind it. With around 230 grains and moderate recoil, it is a good self-defense choice.

The .38 special is most commonly found in revolvers. It has a longer cartridge and more powder, but it is slower than a 9mm.

The 7.62X39MM is a Soviet round designed to be used in the AK-47. Its average weight is roughly 123 grains.

The 5.56X45MM/.223 have almost identical dimensions. The .223 has a slightly lower pressure than the 5.56. It has long-range accuracy, which makes it a good option for people who might want to use it for self-defense.

The .308/7.62x51mm have almost identical dimensions as well. The .308 is the most preferred caliber for snipers all over the world.

The .30 Carbine was designed for the M1 Carbine and still popular with civilians.

The 5.7x28mm is a small bullet that travels very fast and allows for increased penetration with low recoil and high magazine capacity. It ranges from 23-31 grams.

The .357 Magnum has excellent stopping power and mainly designed for revolvers.

The .300 Blackout is designed to give the ballistic performance of a larger “.30 caliber” AK 7.62x39mm round but designed for the AR-15. It is popular because of its flexibility and power.

The 7.62x54mmR was designed by the Russians for their Mosin-Nagant. It is the oldest cartridge still in combat use.

The .30-06 Springfield has a strong recoil and good range. Its weight is around 150-180 grams.

Shotgun shells come in different gauges. The most common gauge in use in the U.S. is the 12 gauge, but 28, 20, 16, and 10 gauge are available. Shotgun ammunition varies depending on what you’re using it for. Birdshot is the most typically used shotgun ammo containing many smaller balls of metal. Buckshot is actually the same as birdshot but with metal balls that are bigger in diameter. And slugs are usually a piece of solid metal weighing 1 ounce.

Fish antibiotics, would I take them in an emergency

Would I take fish antibiotics in an emergency? Yes.

Parachute cord, also known as paracord or 550 cord

Parachute cord, also known as paracord or 550 cord, refers to type-III paracord, a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes.

A kernmantle rope is constructed with its interior core protected by a woven exterior sheath designed to optimize strength, durability, and flexibility. Its relatively smooth texture comes from the braided sheath, which has a high number of interwoven strands for its size, making it reasonably elastic.

The US military MIL-C-5040H standard required the material to be nylon. Still, there are products on the market today labeled as paracord that do not correspond to a specific military type and can differ in construction, quality, color, or strength.

The type III 550 cord is commonly found in use. It is nominally rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds, thus the nickname “550 cord,” and has a minimum elongation of 30%.

Military-specification type III cord may be slightly thicker than commercial grade due to it often requiring three nylon fibers per inner core as opposed to two fibers per core in the retail version.

The military cord will be closer to 4 millimeters (5⁄32 in) thickness, whereas commercial versions are closer to 3 millimeters (1⁄8 in) thickness.

Most people today are familiar with the cord due to the popularity of prepping and its use in survival bracelets that are meant to be unraveled when one needs to use it for a specific purpose.

Crafters also weave it into lanyards, belts, dog leashes, rosaries, key chains, and more.

Paracord can be used in survival situations to make bowstrings for hunting or fire drills. It can also be used to make traps and fishing line. The list of uses for this cord is endless and should be a part of your EDC (Everyday Carry) kit.

One world government, conspiracy or slow-moving social disaster

Is the push toward a one-world government, a conspiracy or slow-moving social disaster?

The truth is there has always been a push toward a one-world government. And it all started with the first group of people who worked to consolidate lands under their control. Many ancient civilizations like Rome expanded and failed as they ran out of money and blood, trying to accomplish this.

Today, the idea of a one-world government refers to a central government whose authority extends across the entirety of this planet. The idea is generally that the many countries of the world would join together in a federation under one central government.

And oh, how convenient that would be for the corrupt of our day? Under a one-world government, the number of politicians they would have to pay off and thus control would shrink, fortifying their power.

The only thing standing in their way is the will of free people who refuse to let it happen.

But the tide does appear to be changing in their favor due to generations of kids being slowly transformed into obedient followers.

Follow that with the creation of a weak underclass, and the chips start to fall into place for wealthy elitists who promise to give them a socialist utopia in which they no longer need to work. In this one world utopia, they will be free to play video games, play music, paint and enjoy the arts.

What could go wrong, right?

The most common proponents of this idea adhere to “liberal internationalism.” Commonly, they believe in a strengthened United Nations evolving into a world government. It is frequently suggested that the UN be supplemented with a directly elected parliamentary assembly, to give the UN authority independent of member states. They support international law as paramount over national law and see it evolving into a single global legal system, with individual citizens having direct access to international courts with the power to overrule national legislation.

Another viewpoint believes that world government must be preceded by a continental or regional government. This viewpoint supports the strengthening of the European Union and the duplication of the EU model in other regions of the world. It looks to the EU as one of the most advanced states of supranational integration in the world today. Once the world has been organized into regional or continental governments, then a world government can be established as a federation of these regional governments.

I think we can clearly see both views being played out today in the United Nations and the European Union. Just this week, German Chancellor Angela Merkle, along with France, backed the emergence of a European army. It sounds like they want to turn the EU into a country they control to me. Hopefully, the United Kingdom will be able to escape the controlling grip of the EU through Brexit before it’s too late.

Not to be outdone, the UN is trying to take control of the world’s immigration laws. Dick Morris describes their attempt to do this in his video “UN Tries To Grab Control Of Immigration!” 

So, is the one-world government theory a conspiracy? No, it is not. The corrupt, greedy men and women of the world would love to see this come true.

If it does, it will be a disaster for all but the view at the top. A tragedy that will only end when your grandkids rise up and fight for the freedom that was lost so that their weak, lazy grandparents could freeload on the backs of others.

You wake up to realize your house is on fire. Immediately you throw off the covers and run for the front door to escape. You’re almost there, a few more steps, and you’re out, but you fall to the floor, overcome by smoke.

A firefighter pushes on the door, trying to enter but finds its block. He finally opens it enough to squeeze through; smoke and flames race out the door above him. Finding your lifeless body, he drags you outside and begins CPR with the medic crew that just pulled up. Other firefighters continue to battle the blaze.

Your neighbors look on in shock, and the cries of your wife, who has just arrived home from work, can be heard in the distance as a police officer briefs her of the situation.

The Luritja people, native to the remote deserts of central Australia, once told a story about an impact disaster:

“A fire devil coming down from the Sun, crashing into Earth and killing everything in the vicinity.”

The Gunditjmara people describe a tsunami:

“A gigantic wave coming very far inland and killing everybody except those who were upon the mountaintops.”

In The Legend of The Great Flood, a drought is described in the time before the flood:

“In the dream-time, a terrible drought swept across the land. The leaves of the trees turned brown and fell from the branches, the flowers drooped their heads and died, and the green grass withered as though the spirit from the barren mountain had breathed upon it with a breath of fire. When the hot wind blew, the dead reeds rattled in the river bed, and the burning sands shimmered like a silver lagoon.

All the water had left the rippling creeks, and deep, still water holes. In the clear blue sky, the sun was a mass of molten gold; the clouds no longer drifted across the hills, and the only darkness that fell across the land was the shadow of night and death.”

In a story about Lake Euramoo, an earthquake is described:

“The broken taboo angered the rainbow serpent Yamany, the dominant spirit of the area … As a result, ‘the camping-place began to change, the earth under the camp roaring like thunder. The Gugu Badhun Aboriginal people tell a story of an enormous volcanic eruption.

“Once upon a time, a huge explosion rocked the land, and a massive crater appeared in the ground. A cloud of malicious dust filled the air, and when people wandered into it, they disappeared forever. The air was so hot that along the waterfronts, the ground appeared to be on fire.”

And finally, this Aboriginal story tells of a time when the sea was lower.

“In the beginning, as far back as we remember, our home islands were not islands at all as they are today. They were part of a peninsula that jutted out from the mainland, and we roamed freely throughout the land without having to get in a boat like we do today. Then Garnguur, the seagull woman, took her raft and dragged it back and forth across the neck of the peninsula, letting the sea pour in and making our homes into islands.”

These stories were once thought to be myths, but science is proving them to be true. Humans have been living with disasters since the beginning of time, and we will continue to live with them.

Well, flavoring food is the number one use for black pepper, but there are other uses for it. So let’s get this old school peddler show started and talk about its AMAZING applications.

Gather round folks cause I’m going to introduce to you the black pepper, cultivated in the far lands of Asia.

Combine it with honey, and you got yourself an excellent natural cough suppressant. Simply mix a teaspoon of powdered black pepper with 2 tablespoons of honey in a cup. Then fill with boiling water, cover, and let it steep for about 15 minutes then strain. Do it three times a day, and your congestion and sinuses will be clear.

And I’m not done folks, this show is just getting started so step in a little closer. Now, I know you’re saying to yourself, “Dr. Scott, that’s amazing, sell me some right now!” And I will, but I don’t want you to walk away without knowing about all of the uses for my pepper.

Did you know it can enhance your brain health? Who knew, right? And ladies, if you got a man that needs a little help in the fertility department, then pepper can help you out. Dang! I’m about out of breath talking about all the benefits of pepper, but I can’t stop now because it also fights wrinkles, dandruff, and a lot of other things.
