I was watching a documentary about some of the last hunter-gather groups on planet earth. In it, they wanted to know what they felt was the most important thing in their lives.
They named the animals they hunted for food as the most important. Without them, they would die.
Their answer was as true as the day is long. And it is true for all of us whether we live off the land or buy our food from the grocery store.
That’s right, folks: water, food, and shelter are the most important things in our lives. You may not think so right now because it comes so easy to most of us, but I assure you it will be, should those supplies be cut off.
And it will be the end for anyone who does not know how to grow, forage, fish, or hunt.
