False Alarms

Daily blog: It’s May 7th, 2021.

In cities and towns across America, citizens lay awake at night, concerned over the corruption that has embedded itself in every facet of their lives.

It’s the real story of 2020, 2021.

And the nightly news continues to throw out one false alarm after another to cover it all up, hoping to distract us.

“Look here, look there,” they say to turn our attention away from the latest political hack who got caught red-handed.

I rarely turn my television on these days; with the mindless banter turned off, all is well. But still, like so many others, I lay awake at night worrying about the future of our country.

Like so many others, I am ready for the corruption to end.

The Cicadas Are Coming

Daily blog: It’s May 5th, 2021.

In a few weeks, billions of cicadas will come out of the ground, shed their skin, and fly to the treetops.

Yep, it’s going to be a wild party for these harmless playboys who’ve been waiting underground for seventeen years, and I wish them well.

Sing loud, my cicada friends, as loud as you can. Your love song will find a girl and bring peace to the hometowns lucky enough to have you.

Yessiree, I’ll take the sound of cicadas over the mindless dribble coming out of the TV any day.

It’s Your City

Daily blog: It’s May 1st, 2021.

If your hometown is Philadelphia, PA, and you do not replace your representatives with people capable of managing the city. You are part of the problem.

People talk about homelessness but refuse to accept that addiction causes most of it; it’s not the other way around. There are programs for homeless people, but most refuse it, choosing drugs instead.

So, if your hometown has streets that look like a dump, that people shit and piss on, that people routinely die on. If your hometown has these things, and you let your politicians remain in power.

Then what you see below belongs to you.

Why?

Because it’s your hometown and you are responsible for it.

Board of Elections

Daily blog: It’s April 30th, 2021.

If you do not know the names of your county’s Board of Election members, make it a priority to do so.

You can find their names, email addresses, and phone numbers on a county’s Board of Elections website.

For example, my county’s board of elections website has the names here:

http://www.votedavidsoncountync.com/About_the_Board.html

And my state’s board of elections members can be found on their website:

https://www.ncsbe.gov/about

The 2020 election has shown how important these people are. And it is up to us to make sure they are doing their jobs properly.

So add your state and county’s Board of Elections website to your bookmarks today. And if you have any concerns, give them a call. They work for you and should be able to answer any questions.

We can no longer tolerate late night mail dumps. And 2022 is right around the corner.

When Criminals Become The Law

Daily blog: It’s April 28th, 2021.

The American people can save this country from socialism by becoming self-sufficient, thus cutting the ties that bind us to Washington.

A self-sufficient town can not be controlled.

Yep, It’s time for a little top-down house cleaning. The top being us and the bottom being the people who work for us in the federal government.

I refuse to let dystopia rise any longer.

Hometown America, let freedom ring loud and clear in the ear of every politician. And If your hometown is Louisville, Kentucky, you might want to give them an ear full. Their disrespected police officers are leaving in droves, and the crime rate is spiking. Funny how that works. Police haters there are about to find out what real street justice looks like when the criminals become the law.

Microfiction – Are You Afraid

“Why are you afraid, child?”
“The man on TV said I should be.”
“Do you see anything around you to be afraid of?”
“No.”
“Do you see anybody dropping dead in the streets?”
“No, but the mask protects us.”
“Do you see people who don’t wear masks dropping dead in the streets?”
“No.”
“Child, there are people who get sick every day and die of one thing or the other, but life goes on. If you want to be afraid, be afraid of the man on TV.”
“Why?”
“Because he makes money off of people’s fear. He’s what you call a bogeyman. Use to only frighten children into good behavior. But these days, it works on adults too.”
“Are you afraid of the virus?”
“No, Child, I’m not afraid. We got a roof over our heads, food growing in the garden, and a well for water. Now, you let those things go away. And I’ll be afraid.”
